In occasione della III edizione della Biennale Internazionale di Fotografia di Brescia - 2008, dal titolo programmatico In Qualche Parte del Mondo, che ha tema quest´anno la fotografia di viaggio “autoriale”, la Galleria delle Battaglie presenta Indian Stills di Carlo Bevilacqua, una serie di trenta foto, prevalentemente dei ritratti, realizzate alcuni anni fa in occasione di un viaggio in India utilizzando una fotocamera di grande formato.
La mostra sarà inaugurata Giovedì 12 Giugno 2008 in contemporanea all´apertura della Biennale di Fotografia e si protrarrà fino al 14 Settembre 2008

Somewhere in the world is the theme of the 3rd edition of International Biennale of Photography in Brescia which is opening on June 12th, for this occasion Galleria delle Battaglie presents Indian Stills by Carlo Bevilacqua
Indian Stils is a selection of 30 Large-format portraits and landscapes shot on a Negative Positive/Polaroid 9x12 BN during a jouney in India and can be recognized trhough the protecion materials traces lived on the emulsion, the negative have been successively digitized and printed on a acid free cotton paper.
The film used is no longer manufactured and is meant as a further metaphor, of India itself. Indian Stills are images of a country then beginning to undergo a radical change yet at the same time remaning the same and that has given me joy and longtime friendship.
Indian Stills will be opening thusday June 12th, 2008 together with the Biennale opening and it will run until September 14th, 2008
Some Indian Stills Pictures are already sold during the recent aucion of Donna Karan´s Urban Zen Foundation, at the Stephan Weiss Studio in New York (www.urbanzen.org) and in Milan to support Pyary Onlus activity (www.pyaryonlus.org)
